FOUND!!

Thank you so much to all who saw my post yesterday.  Owen came home this morning on his own (with the help of two very nice men who work at a garden center behind our home).  He was warm and clean.  I wish he could talk to tell us all about his adventure, but we are just so happy he is home!  I am floored at the kindess of the people who wanted to help us.  There are good people in this world!  Thank you so much and I'll see everyone tomorrow!

Lost Dog!

Hello Families!

I promise to update the blog on all of the happenings going on in our classroom (there are a lot), however, this post is a bit different tonight.  We have lost our little dog Owen.  He got out of the house today while we were at work.  He has not been found and we are very worried.  He was lost in the Freehold/Howell area right off of Five Points Road.  If you know anyone in that area, can you please pass the word around?  His name is Owen and he is a puggle. He is 25 lbs., has a dark stripe down his back, and a curly tail.

Thank you so much and be on the lookout for a very long Kindergarten update!

Here are some pictures of the little guy:

Happy New Year

Happy 2013! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and break. I hope this new year brings all of our families lots of love, health, and happiness!
We had a great three days back at school. We began this week by learning all about penguins. The kiddies are working on an All About Penguins book in writing workshop. You will be amazed with how well these little ones are writing and drawing. They are learning so much about penguins and they are able to apply what they have learned in their writing! I am so proud of them!! We will continue our penguin unit this week.

In Math, the class is working on how to count and properly form their numbers.  Please practice writing numbers at home.  Many of the kids are having difficulty forming the numbers correctly.

This week, we will be beginning our new science unit called balls and ramps. The kids will love this part of the day!

Please be on the look out for a new homework assignment. Each child will receive a book at his or her reading level.  They will read tht book for the week and complete the assignment that goes with it. Please be sure to return the assignment and book on Friday. You van out it in your child's BEE book homework pouch.
